Privacy and Data Protection

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

This Privacy Policy describes how, when and why I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services at Harrison-Bond.com or related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including PayPal and/or Etsy. You can reference the PayPal and Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about their privacy practices.

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, I require certain specific information (which you authorised by using my checkout procedure and/or allow PayPal to provide to me). This includes your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also provide additional personal information, for a customised design for example, if you contact me via email, or our ‘Contact’ form, or if you enter additional information during the checkout process.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

There are a number of reasons I am required to collect, use, and share your information, including:

  • to enable me to fulfil your order, settle a dispute, or to provide customer support;
  • as necessary to comply with my legal obligations, such as retaining certain information about your order for accounting and tax purposes;
  • compliance with PayPal Policies and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the PayPal Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information only when necessary as follows:

PayPal. I share information with PayPal as required to conduct my business and comply with my obligations under the PayPal Terms of Use.
Service providers, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information only to the extent necessary to perform their services.
Compliance with law. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I in good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues;

Data Retention

I retain the minimum amount of your personal information, and only for as long as necessary to complete our transactions. Your payment invoice is stored by PayPal and I do not copy or retain details anywhere else. However, I am required to use certain details to comply with my accounting, tax and legal obligations. This data is stored for the minimum period required under U.K. Self Assessment rules, (5 years).

In certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. I will delete any personal information upon request, except when I am required to store data for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
